Cooler Transmissions for Nissan
Titan
Inglewood,
CA –
PML announced today
a new, aftermarket deep aluminum transmission pan for Nissan RE5-R05A
transmissions found in Titan trucks and Armada SUVs. PML designed and
developed this pan in response to demand from Titan owners for an
extra-capacity pan.
PML’s Nissan transmission pan
helps keep transmission oil cool in three ways. First, the pan
adds 3.5 additional quarts of oil capacity. Second, the pan features
raised fins on the outside. Third, PML designed cast-in baffles on the
inside of the pan that keep oil near the filter inlet and aid in heat
transfer from the oil to the pan.
PML’s new transmission pan also features a cast-in
boss that can be drilled and tapped for a temperature sensor, 3/16-inch
thick wall to add strength to the transmission case, 3/8-inch thick
gasket flange for a secure seal, and a magnetic drain plug for easier,
less messy maintenance.
This pan is made in the USA by PML. To purchase
a pan or for more information, please contact PML.
The pan is available in as-cast,
black, and polished finishes. The PML part number is 11037. PML also
manufactures and sells a matching
Titan differential cover.

Inglewood,
CA – PML now offers an extra deep aluminum transmission pan for 2007 and
newer Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 diesel trucks with 6.7L engines. This new
pan adds four additional quarts of oil capacity to the 6-speed 68RFE
transmission in these heavy duty trucks.
The increased oil capacity and raised fins
on the outside help reduce oil temperatures, resulting in less wear and
tear on the transmission. The pan has cast-in internal baffles to keep
the oil near the filter inlet, preventing the need for a filter
extension.
The pan also features: a cast-in boss that can be drilled and tapped for
a temperature sensor, 3/16-inch thick wall to add strength to the
transmission case, 3/8-inch thick gasket flange for a secure seal, and a
magnetic drain plug for easier, less messy maintenance.
The pan is available in as-cast, black, and polished finishes. The PML
part number is 11039. The pan also fits vehicles with the Dodge 545RFE
transmission such as the Ram 1500 with the 4.7 or Hemi engine, 2000 and
newer Dakota and Durango with the 4.7 engine, and 1999 and newer Jeep
Grand Cherokee with 4.7 engines. |
Award Winning Valve Covers
Inglewood, CA, January 18, 2007 – At the SEMA
Show November 2007, PML won a Global Media award for their new sand
cast aluminum valve covers with vintage CHEVROLET® or
CORVETTE® script and fins. These new covers are now
available.
These aftermarket valve covers will
fit the heads found on many crate engines, mid-90s Pontiac Trans Am
and Firebird, and 1987-1998 Silverado, Sierra, Suburban, Tahoe,
Corvette, Impala SS, and Camaro Z28.
PML designed these covers for a clean
and classic appearance. The design removed two boltholes and the PCV/breather/oil
fill holes from the top surface and added raised CHEVROLET or
CORVETTE script and fins. These covers use only the two outer
boltholes. The sand cast aluminum construction is so much stiffer
than stock that you do not need four bolts to apply pressure evenly
to the gasket.
If holes are needed for oil fill, PCV,
or breather, they can be cut into the intake side of the valve
cover. Baffles are cast into the interior of the cover in two
locations opposite where the holes would go. This leaves the top
surface where the fins and lettering are completely clean.
The covers are slightly taller than
stock to allow roller tip rockers and are designed to use the stock
gaskets. These valve covers are available in as-cast, black or
Chevrolet orange powder coated with brushed fins and script, and
polished finishes. The PML part number is 11040 for the CHEVROLET
script and 11041 for the CORVETTE script.
About PML: In 1986, PML began by
providing dimensional inspection, prototyping, tooling, reverse
engineering, and CAD modeling to the manufacturing industry. In
1998, PML began the transition to the automotive aftermarket with
the design and manufacture of Cadillac valve covers. Today, PML
offers more than 100 pans and covers. All PML products are designed
and manufactured in the USA. PML is a member of SEMA, ORBA, and the
Goodguys Rod & Custom Association.

Differential Cover for
the Chevrolet SSR
 Inglewood,
CA – PML announces an aftermarket differential cover for the
Chevrolet SSR. The cover features extra capacity, sand cast aluminum
construction, and a drain hole with a magnetic drain plug. PML
designed this cover for the Torsen 10 bolt rear axle found in
2003-06 SSR with automatic transmission and other GM vehicles such
as Trailblazer, Envoy, Colorado, Canyon, Olds Bravada, and Buick
Renier.
This differential cover increases fluid capacity by 0.5 quarts
over stock. The increased capacity reduces temperatures, lessening
wear and tear on the differential. On the outside of the cover,
raised fins help keep oil cool and add a custom look.
The
sand cast aluminum construction adds 3/16-inch thick wall
construction to add strength to the differential housing and
3/8-inch thick gasket flange that will not bend when bolts are
tightened. The gasket flange is machined for a secure seal with RTV
or factory reusable gasket.
The drain hole allows for easier, less messy maintenance. A
magnetic drain plug collects any metal bits so the differential
fluid is kept cleaner. The cover has a fill hole on top and on the
side there is a cast-in boss that can be drilled and tapped for a
temperature sensor.
PML offers this differential cover in three finishes: cast
aluminum, black, and polished. The PML part number is 11035.
About PML: In 1986, PML began by providing dimensional inspection,
prototyping, tooling, reverse engineering, and CAD modeling to the
manufacturing industry. In 1998, PML began the transition to the
automotive aftermarket with the design and manufacture of Cadillac®
valve covers. Today, PML offers more than 100 pans and covers. All

A Titan of a
Differential Cover

Inglewood, CA – June 1, 2005 – PML now
manufactures and sells a new extra-capacity differential cover for the
Nissan Titan. PML designed this cover with fins and additional oil
capacity for cooler differential temperatures. Many Titan owners have
reported overheating especially when towing
and have been looking for a way to reduce temperatures. PML heard from
these owners and designed a cover in response to their needs. PML
received over 25 pre-orders for these covers before starting production.
The new PML Nissan Titan rear differential
cover features 0.75 quarts more oil capacity than the stock 2005 cover.
With fins, the new cover is 1 1/4 inches deeper than stock 2005 cover, 2
inches deeper than the stock 2004 cover. The cover has a boss for a
temperature sensor, a level check/fill hole and includes mounting bolts.
Like all PML covers, it also features sand-cast aluminum construction,
thick walls to add strength to the differential housing, a .375" thick
